Very sad morning
Very sad morning, I started scrolling on Facebook to catch my usual rib cracking laughter from some post but alas got a rude shock. A very dear friend, Charity Fakinlede truly has passed on to glory. These days I no longer want to feel bad about death, because I have come to realize in time that for saints of God, its a triumphant entry into glory. But I always wish that we are old, and are at a place of rest before the call.
This morning, the tears flowed because I know Charity still had lots to share. She was that friend we could share our Edmonton, Alberta, Canada days with. The experiences of life in that part of the world, when husbands were training to be Professors. Charity you and Coli still visited me recently, I visited in unilag where your husband is now Dean, and you were back to visit, our last delicious lunch we had at my place, prepared by my cook. All the plans we were making about our internet training class. The laptop you asked me to get so we could be more effective. I did get the laptop and was waiting. One of my brothers even saw it and asked where I got this " machine for big boys". This is sad, how I wished we still saw more often, had more fun together, your laughter, your way of viewing life. It's like a part of my history has been caught off, I could not talk about Edmonton days in Canada without talking about you. The ogbona stew you liked preparing for me when you know I am visiting. I don't have many close friends but you are one and I will miss you dearly. We never saw often but we always caught up.
I know your husband and children will miss you more. But sleep on beloved. I did not know you were sick, I just thought you were in Canada. This is close, we love you. The entire ICLED team, met you too and we pray God grants you eternal rest.
Sleep on Beloved. The battle is over!
