My dear mother, auntie and mentor
The sudden transition to glory of my dear mother, auntie and mentor came to me as a shock. She was full of life five days when I visited before her demise. We laughed, gisted, and encouraged ourselves in the unfailing power of God to heal, deliver and save.
However, God is ever faithful and kind towards our mom because all through her trying times her faith in God was unwavering. She told me it is the Love of God to prepare her to get back home eternally to be with her Maker. This made alot of sense. God was faithful to the end. She never lacked the love and support of her husband, children, family and friends; who gave her the much needed assistance. She touched many lives including mine.
I became a member of the family in 1987 after my secondary education. I came to work for the family. I was received and showered with much love. No discrimination, we all ate from same plate. I was taught many important issues of life. Spiritually, I gave my life to Christ while with the family, though I had been a church goer. Praise God!
I was encouraged by the couple to retake my papers. I was granted grace to study at home while the children were taken to daycare TINY TOTS, which meant double payment. Mommy was a lover, a giver, a disciplinarian, a woman of vision, a woman of faith, a light she was. She lived all her life her name, Charity. She is selfless and she gives encouragement. She gives opportunity for acquisition of skills and training. Many of us in FACTS COMPUTERS formerly UNIX NIG LTD got computer literate by her organisation in the late eighties when computer knowledge was rare.
Our staff, Oluokun, Bambe, Joel, Solomon, Timi, Dada, Emmanuel just to mention a few will never forget the empowerment acquired through their contact with our beloved mother Dr. MRS FAKINLEDE.
I can say more and more but time and space will not permit me. My beloved mother, continue to rest in the bosom of our Lord Jesus till we meet again at home. We miss you a lot but God loves you most.
